One of the first moments that truly stayed with me happened in Mexico, when I came face to face with a huge moray eel. But everything changed when I later dived with sharks for the first time. Being in open water and seeing a four-meter tiger shark swim past you is impossible to fully describe. It shifts how you see the ocean, and yourself within it.
Like many people, I once believed sharks and other large marine animals were dangerous by nature. Over time, I learned how big that misconception is. When diving is done calmly, with the right approach and experienced professionals, these encounters are not about fear, but about respect. That realization changed the way I look at diving and at the animals we share the water with.
In 2018, I started scuba diving, and since then my sense of adventure has only grown. I have dived across many different oceans and seas, chasing currents, discovering local cultures, and always admiring the beauty of the underwater world, excited to see what we might encounter on the next dive. Every place has taught me something: about marine life, about myself, and about the joy of exploring beyond what is familiar.
Through Velura, I turn my love for the ocean into a shared adventure. These expeditions are for people who crave adventure, connection, and experiences that stay with you. Choose Your Expedition
Start by exploring our upcoming expeditions and selecting the destination that excites you most. Each trip is designed for small groups and focused on unique underwater encounters, from shark dives to remote marine ecosystems.
Reserve Your Spot
To secure your place, you complete a short onboarding form and pay a deposit. This allows us to collect important information such as your diving experience, certifications, and any health considerations so we can ensure every expedition is safe and well organized.
Prepare for the Journey
After booking, you receive a confirmation and an expedition guide with practical information about travel, equipment, and preparation. Our team remains available for any questions, and participants can also join a group chat with fellow divers to connect before the trip begins.
Join the Expedition
Participants travel to the expedition destination, where the Velura team and our trusted local partners coordinate the experience. Most expeditions include two to three dives per day, guided by experienced dive professionals and local specialists who know the area and its marine life intimately.
Experience More Than Just Diving
Velura expeditions are designed to be more than a dive trip. With small groups, expert guidance, and carefully selected dive sites, we focus on meaningful encounters with marine life while respecting the ocean and its ecosystems.
Stay Connected After the Journey
After the expedition, participants receive photos and videos from the trip and are invited to join the Velura community, where divers can share experiences, memories, and stay connected for future expeditions.
